QUALITY TIME, FAMILY TIME, MEAL TIME
The fast-pace society makes it difficult for us to fully enjoy the meal with our family.
But this quarantine session creates a perfect chance for us to catch up with our beloved family at
the dinner table. Don’t be stressed because of the large amount of food you have to cook – we’re
here to make meal time pleasant for you:
Make family meals a priority: Think of it as a time for values and traditions. Family members
gather together at meal time for better bonding. As a result, our children will adopt this tradition,
and value family meals as one of their priority.
Get everyone involved: It’s very stressful to handle everything on your own, while getting
everyone involved will make the whole family to be more excited for mealtime, from grocery
shopping to meal prepping, there’re always tasks for you to ask for help.
Prep quick eat slow: You don’t have to be fancy about your meals – a simple entrees with
short preparation time can be the star of the game (Of course, if you enjoy being fancy, do it).
However, do keep in mind that you want to allow yourself to slow down to enjoy the meals
together as family.
Stay away from distractions: You have a call to answer. Your spouse just receives an email
from his laptop. And the kids wouldn’t stop asking for TV. Yet, all of those distractions are not
family members. Put them away and focus on real-life interactions – we’re all stars in our own
life, and we all have stories to tell, am I right?
Allow time to talk, to enjoy, and to love others: This is definitely not a good time for
arguments; this is an ideal time for conversations, for laughters, and for bonding. There is only
one theme allowed in family meals – Love. Spread the love you have to your family members.
This is just a quick reminder for you to get your family members and sit down for a satisfying
meal.
