Cinnamon Hot Chocolate

Cinnamon Hot Chocolate


  • 2 cups unsweetened coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Agave nectar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 whole cloves



  1. In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder, cinnamon and dark chocolate. Put aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until small bubbles rise. Turn off the heat.
  3. Add ΒΌ cup of the hot milk to the cocoa and cinnamon mixture.
  4. Stir until the dark chocolate is melted and you have a thick, smooth paste. Add the paste and the Agave nectar to the rest of the milk and stir until all of the ingredients are combined.
  5. Place 1 cinnamon stick and 1 clove in each mug and add the hot chocolate. Let the mugs stand for about 3 minutes before serving.
